The Land That I Love

If you have been a good person in life, when you die, your soul will go to Cape Breton Island.
That's a saying we have.

Once a Caper always A Caper
No matter where you live or how long you have been away, you always say you are going home.

We are connected to the "mainland" of Nova Scotia by a causeway but still consider ourselves separate. Years ago the mainlanders looked down upon us Islanders as inferior people. Now they are happy to hop on our bandwagon because of the success of our musicians and the beauty of our Island has become world known. The Cabot Trail has been hailed as one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the world.
