Happy Brew Day!
On April 7, breweries all over America will raise a pint in celebration of the day that beer once again became legally available at the end of prohibition.
YEAH, GOOD MOVE!!
Years ago, there used to be dry/wet areas of Bloor West Village. There was even this restaurant that served liquor on one side and not on the other. Figure that one out! Apparently there was this 90 something year old guy on the committee that always voted against allowing alcolol. It had something to do with John George Howard who donated High Park to the city with the stipulation, no consumption of alcohol allowed. This is the last "dry" area of the city of Toronto. (High Park)
PS The old guy died eventually and they soon got rid of that antiquated premise.
